Show Notes

This week the Powers brothers talk about the art we've been consuming lately. Connor's been watching the anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and so we end up discussing the differences between that show and its predecessor (alternate reality counterpart?), simply Fullmetal Alchemist. Caleb's almost finished with the second Percy Jackson series, Heroes of Olympus, so we also talk about some of the things both series of books did right and wrong. Along the way we talk about how to structure a story, how to avoid bloat in your story, and when to kill the thing you love most in the story you've written. We also plug our very good friend Carly's YouTube channel, which you can find at this link.
